Copernicus Lodge….. 1979 – 2009
Celebrating 30 Years of Caring!
A Legacy that began in 1979, The John Paul II Care Center of Copernicus Lodge began as a not-for-profit organization with a mission and commitment to provide for and enhance quality of care services for seniors in the Polish community. We continue to achieve this goal. Over the past 30 years, Copernicus Lodge has seen much growth and responsiveness to meeting the changing needs of our seniors and community while carrying out the vision of our Founder, Father Michael Smith. We have created a compassionate, loving community and home that is both vibrant and engaging while reaching major milestones along the way. We are pleased to refer to the past 30 years as being both exciting and rewarding. Copernicus Lodge more than tripled in size, and at the same time, improved operating efficiency. Our success is rooted in the fact that quality and service come first in everything we do. It’s a commitment reflected in all aspects of our operations. We would like to extend our deep appreciation to the many caring, and compassionate staff, volunteers, residents, families, donors and friends of Copernicus Lodge who have offered their gifts of time, talent, money and presence to provide excellent service, while enhancing the care and services at Copernicus Lodge throughout the last 30 years. As we embark on our 30th year celebrating our services to seniors, we personally invite you to join us by attending a Thanksgiving Mass to be held on Saturday October 17, 2009 at 3:00pm at St. Casimir’s Parish. Thank you all for your support and your inspiration in making Copernicus Lodge…”A Place to Call Home”. We look forward to celebrating another 30 years with all of you!
Jesse Flis, Chair Tracy Kamino, Executive Director
